Between Boxtel and Oisterwijk is the nature park Kampina. It is a nature reserve with many large pools between forest and moorland. The visitor center is located in Oisterwijk. Kampina over 1200 hectares and is largely owned by Natuurmomumenten.

In the middle of Nature Park Kampina is the Kampinase Heath situated. The Beerze and Rosep are the two streams running through the vast pine forests of the Nature Park Kampina.
The streams, the Beerze and the Rosep, haven’t undergone any channeling, like many rivers in Noord-Brabant in the time of land consolidation.

The memorial in Kampina is for Pieter van Tienhoven who, as treasurer of Natuurmonumenten from 1907 to 1953, applied for the maintenance of meandering streams.
Kampina is a fun and very beautiful area where we have made several walks. Below an impression of Kampina with photos we have made during these many walks.

Length hike track log: 21 km
