Passes trip - Furka - Sustenpas - Grimsel - Wallis - Switzerland

Today we drove the three passes trip. A tour of almost 250 km.
The road between Unterbäch and Visp is still closed, but this time we're being smart, and drive down via the Turtmanntal. Once down in the valley we continue our way to Brig. After Brig we head towards the Furka. Along the way we pass the Aletsch area. But this time we keep driving. At Gletsch we head up the Furka. First stop is the hotel Belvedère on top of the Furka with a view of the Rhone glacier. A breathtaking view. We also visited the ice caves there. It's very cold inside. Afterwards we drove down a less wide road down the valley and on towards the Sustenpass. This section was spectacular to be seen. Very nice views, especially for the one not driving. Although there are enough places to stop and have a look around. After the descent we drive fairly steeply to the Grimselpass. This section is also great to drive. At this Passhöhe there's also a large parking area where you can enjoy the view. From the Grimselpass you drive to the point where you drove up the Furka earlier. From here we drove back to Unterbäch via the road from Visp, which was open again. A beautiful route, surely worth the effort. It's only advisable to leave early. All in all it took us 6 hours.
