We went on a walking holiday to Mallorca in late June. Mallorca is one of the islands of the Balearic Islands, which belong to the kingdom of Spain.
We stayed in Fornalutx Petit Hotel in the Serra de Tramuntana near Sóller. Fornalutx Petit Hotel is a nice small hotel in a small village. We had a warm welcome by the owners. The hotel had a nice garden where you can enjoy an extensive breakfast. The room was a bit small, but the air-conditioning and de refrigerator made up for the small size room. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. If you are traveling to Fornalutx, go to the pizzeria. The food is really good and they have friendly personnel for a small price.

Mallorca is a very nice walking destination. The center of Mallorca is flat and les touristic. The beaches are located in the north and the south of Mallorca. The beach area is large, so there is always a nice spot.
In the west of Mallorca is the Serra de Tramuntana located. The mountain range covers a region from Saint Elm in the south until Pollença in the north. Most of the walking paths are in this mountain area. We have made all our walks in the area of the Serra de Tramuntana on Mallorca.
A day with the car around the island is a nice change from all walks. If you have a rental car, take a break near Cap de Formentos and Mirador Penya Rotja. There are also some miradors along the road near de coast which are worth a break. If you want to see the flat parts of the Island then go to Randa to the Sanctuary de Cura. It gives a nice view over Mallorca and at good weather a view of the Serra de Tramuntana.
In the menu left is our travelogue of the walks we did on Mallorca.
