Roque Nublo - Gran Canary - Canary Islands - Spain

A hike to Roque Nublo shouldn't be missed during a hiking vacation to Gran Canary. We driven past it a couple of times and noticed that the parking area is full of touring cars in the afternoon. So we left early in the morning towards Roque Nublo.
Once there we, of course, walked up to the Roque Nublo to enjoy the view. Marko wants to have a look at the other side of Roque Nublo and takes the difficult way to the other side. Later we find our there's a trail on the other side of Roque Nublo ;-)
We decide to walk around Roque Nublo on a trail further down the mountain.
We descend and here a hunter shooting. We whistle a couple of times and let them know we are down there as well. We continue through the woods and look up to Roque Nublo now and then to look at it from different angles. Occasionally we encounter some other hikers, but there aren't many. Most tourists stay on the parking area and take a picture. If you have the time, make sure to do this hike. A nice climb with a view worth all the effort.
