During our trip through Canada we stay a few days in Clearwater close to Wells Gray Provincial Park. After a long day of travel we arrived in Clearwater and stop first at the visitor of Wells Gray Provincial Park.
We get information about the park, the walks and we now know for sure where we have to stop. The Wells Gray Provincial Park is too big that it is impossible to see everything in two days.

We have two full days in Wells Gray Provincial Park, but the first morning we have a meeting with a guide of Discovery Wells Gray to do some hikes in the park. He shows us the Silvertip Falls and takes us on a nice walk around the Spahats Falls. The rest of the time we drive our own car through Wells Gray Provincial Park. The first afternoon we spent visiting the Helmcken Falls and the Green Mountain viewing tower. The second day we spent on some walks, the Moul Falls, the West Lake and the Chain Loop Trail at Clearwater Lake.

The most popular part of Wells Gray Provincial Park is the road between Clearwater and Clearwater Lake. This road is 70 kilometers long, of which 35 km unpaved. The dirt road begins at the exit to the Helmcken Falls and is well maintained. On this road are several car parks where the hiking trails start. Also there are different viewpoints overlooking Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Wells Gray Provincial Park has really surprised us. The nature in the park is breathtakingly beautiful and fun to walk through. And all walks and parking lots are very well marked. We have greatly enjoyed the Wells Gray National Park.
