During our last day of our holiday tour through Canada we drive through Kananaskis Country. The owner of the B & B gives us a day program with a nice route in Kananaskis Country. One of the recommended walks is the walk to the Troll Falls. At the Kananaskis Trail we turn right to Kananaskis Village. We take the first turn right onto a dirt road and park our car. From this parking we begin our hike to the Troll Falls.

There are few people in the parking lot and the weather is fantastic. It is the perfect day for a nice short walk to the Troll Falls in Kananaskis Country. From the car park follow the signs to the Troll Falls. We walk through a deciduous forest where the fall colors are already visible. At the crossing of paths to the Troll Falls we meet a whole group of young people under the guidance of teachers walking through the forest. Without exception, they all say hello, prove of Canadian friendliness.

The last part we walk along a small stream to the Troll Falls. The trail is fun, nature is beautiful, and it really is a super nice little walk. We arrive at the Troll Falls, which lies sheltered in a bowl. In September there isn’t much water floating through the Troll Falls compared to July, but even in the fall there is plenty of water. We look at this nice little waterfall and take a short break.

After the break, we leave the Troll Falls and walk through the woods back to the car. We walk a different path back to the car. We walk through the deciduous forest to the river where we have a nice view of the ski Nakiska Ski Resort. We walk past a group of men fishing in the river. After a short walk we are back in the parking lot and the hike to the Troll Falls in Kananaskis Country is over. There is a parking lot closer to the Troll Falls, but this walk is definitely worth it.
