With the train to the Gornergrat - Zermatt - Wallis - Switzerland

From Zermatt you can take a train into the mountains. The view across the valley, Zermatt and glaciers is spectacular.
Despite it being the middle of summer, it is actually quite cold up there. The reason for is this is the altitude of 3049 meters above sea level.
For tourists the Gornergrat is well worth a visit (as you'll discover by the number of Japanese visiting).
